FreeSoar Reappoints Zihe Wang as Head of CSR Following Landmark Year of National Expansion
MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA — August 2026
FreeSoar Aviation has announced the reappointment of Zihe Wang as Head of Community Promotion and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for a second year, following a period of significant national expansion under his leadership.
During his first term, Wang led the rapid growth of FreeSoar’s community outreach across Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and New South Wales, developing the organisation from a series of individual engagements into an increasingly coordinated national platform for youth aviation education.
At just 18, Wang has overseen the planning, stakeholder engagement, program design and delivery behind initiatives reaching students from primary school through to senior secondary years. His programs introduce young people to the full aviation ecosystem, including piloting, engineering, airport operations, ground handling, cabin crew and aviation management, while providing practical guidance on how students can begin pursuing these pathways.
Recent initiatives have included tailored primary and senior programs at The Heights School in Adelaide, careers engagement at Elizabeth College in Hobart, and FreeSoar’s collaboration with Melbourne’s UMMA Centre, which brought aviation experiences and pathway education directly to students from culturally diverse communities. The wider campaign has also extended into Sydney and regional communities across Victoria and New South Wales.
Wang has distinguished FreeSoar’s CSR work through an emphasis on accessibility and practical outcomes rather than exposure alone. Programs are adapted to their audiences and designed to convert curiosity into action through industry knowledge, training pathways, direct aviation experiences and clearly defined next steps.
“Access to aviation should not depend on already knowing someone in the industry,” Wang said. “Our responsibility is to explain the pathways clearly, bring students into aviation environments and give them practical next steps.”
His reappointment recognises both the scale of FreeSoar’s recent growth and Wang’s ability to combine strategic leadership with direct program execution. Under his direction, the organisation has strengthened partnerships with schools and community organisations while developing an outreach model capable of serving increasingly diverse student cohorts across Australia.
Entering his second year as Head of Community Promotion and CSR, Wang will continue leading FreeSoar’s national community strategy and expansion. His first term has established him as one of the driving forces behind the organisation’s growth—and as a young leader building tangible pathways for the next generation of Australian aviation professionals.
Youth Director Wang, leads FreeSoar Community Promotion to deliver multi-state programs connecting young Australians with aviation education, industry pathways and practical opportunities.
